ESG framework
Oase Outdoors has published annual Impact reports since 2018 and until 2024, these reports were based on the GRI standard. In 2024, we engaged in several new collaborations, including a commitment to the Science Based Targets initiative (SBTi) via our partnership with Ratos AB. This means that going forward, data from 2024 will serve as our baseline for calculations and target-setting. At the same time it was natural for us to reassess the framework for how we report on our impact efforts to reduce our footprint.
Our aim is for our reports and communication to generate value for a broader audience by translating the efforts into more story-driven, relevant and user-friendly content.
The ambition is to actively integrate knowledge and data on our emissions and initiatives into our reporting. Through the ESG framework, we can present our work in a clear, structured and meaningful way across Environmental (E), Social (S) and Governance (G) – for both our company as a whole and the entire value chain. For us, it is a natural step to bring everything together in a structure that matches our impact strategy.
Environmental
The environmental impact from our production, facilities and value chain.
Social
Our social impact, covering working conditions for both our own workforce and our supplier’s employees.
Governance
The governance across our business, ensuring a responsible and well-managed foundation.
Enviromental
The environmental dimension accounts for the largest share of our footprint. While many factors influence our overall impact, the majority comes from the manufacturing of our product range. Several other areas also contribute, including improvements to buildings and office facilities, electricity and heating consumption at our headquarters, employee travel and company vehicles, canteen operations, and more.
Our efforts focus on reducing our overall footprint while improving product longevity and quality, as well as optimising our headquarters facilities through initiatives such as solar panels.
Social
Social covers the human-related aspects of our business. Here, we work to ensure responsible working conditions throughout our value chain. This includes health and safety, employee development and well-being, among other areas. We also assess management and workforce-related data points such as diversity, age and employee benefits.
Through amfori BSCI, we place a strong focus on working conditions at our suppliers to help ensure compliance with the amfori Code of Conduct. Explore the collaboration.
Governance
Within governance, we work with data points related to how we manage our business practices. This includes company policies, IT security, whistleblower arrangements and anti-corruption schemes, as well as our corporate values and engagement with NGOs.
