Our core audience includes both experienced and new family campers. Typically, aged 25 and above, they choose camping because of positive past experiences - often linked to childhood memories. Most head to the campsite during summer holidays and enjoy the occasional weekend trip outside the main season. They have previously invested in tents and camping gear and prioritise quality, trusted brands and smart features that make life on the campsite more comfortable. The Outwell segment also includes campers with larger cars or vans who appreciate the freedom of life on the road.

The story behind Outwell

With more than 30 years of experience, Outwell has helped create millions of memories for families across Europe. The Outwell story began in 1995, when Henrik Arens brought together the company’s deep understanding of life at the campsite and its know-how into a strong brand that met the need for high-quality equipment at reasonable prices - designed by campers, for campers, and tailored to family life outdoors.

It all started with a small collection of innovative, thoroughly tested tents and a limited accessories range - all developed with the everyday needs of campers in mind as they enjoyed the freedom of outdoor living on campsites throughout Europe. From day one, the concept proved to be a success. Both retailers and campers found great value and reassurance in being able to buy everything they needed for family camping under one brand. A brand where high quality, smart innovations and well-considered details made it even easier to create what camping is truly about: unforgettable moments.

Since that spring in 1995, Outwell has never looked back. Today, Outwell is the leading brand within family camping in Europe and is sold in more than 45 countries.

Every day, innovation and product quality remain our highest priorities. Every tent is hand-sewn and supported by thorough performance testing, with all models undergoing rain and wind tests in our own facilities. Our tent collection comprises more than 60 different models, complemented by an equipment range of around 700 products.
