Oase Outdoors owns and operates three independent camping and outdoor brands: Outwell®, easy camp®, and Robens®. Each brand targets specific segments across outdoor living and is built around the following core ideas.

Outwell

Outwell brings home-from-home comfort to the campsite and offers everything families need for life under canvas in a world of camping. For life on the road, Outwell offers a wide range of awnings and equipment designed for the van life community.

easy camp

easy camp is all about seeking adventure - whether it’s hiking, micro-adventures, bikepacking, campground-based stays or glamping in style. Here you’ll also find the gear you need to take your first steps into family camping or enjoy weekends away with friends.

Robens

With Robens, outdoor enthusiasts can live out their passion through technical equipment where every detail is carefully considered, delivering robust and reliable products for everything from ultralight trekking to a comfortable basecamp.

Our retailers are essential to us, and we prioritise being a strong and reliable business partner in everything we do. Across 45 markets, we value close, local collaborations that allow us to build long-lasting relationships rooted in trust and mutual growth. With Outwell, easy camp and Robens, retailers gain access not only to some of the strongest collections in the camping and outdoor industry, but also to a partnership that includes professional product training, an impactful marketing programme and dedicated support grounded in our values and way of doing business.

Headquarters

Our headquarters are located in Give, near Billund in Jutland, Denmark. Everything is housed under one roof across 10,000 m², integrating our offices, warehouse, a large outdoor showroom, plus our in-house test facilities. Our teams within product design, buying, sales, marketing, compliance and a wide range of administrative functions all work side by side at our headquarters, creating a strong foundation for collaboration and innovation. As part of the headquarters, we also host a spacious 2,500 m² showroom showcasing the latest collection for our retailers. Here, we maintain close relationships with our retail partners, welcoming them to inspiring meetings and hands-on product presentations.

In addition to our headquarters in Give, we have sales offices in several European countries as well as offices close to our production facilities in Shanghai, China, and Chattogram, Bangladesh. Our products are sold in 45 markets.

Innovation, design and quality

Innovation is a driving force at Oase Outdoors. Our specialised design team in Denmark create, sketch and develop each product with a strong commitment to functionality, comfort and forward-thinking design. The end-user plays a central role in this process, and we actively involve the people who bring our products to life - through test programmes, focus groups, surveys and feedback across our digital channels. We believe that constructive dialogue with users is essential in shaping the next generation of camping and outdoor equipment.

Our offices in Shanghai and Bangladesh ensure close collaboration with our suppliers, securing consistent quality throughout the manufacturing process. Product testing takes place both in the Far East and at our own facilities in Denmark. We operate some of the most advanced test facilities at HQ, where all our tents undergo rigorous weather and performance testing. Our test center is also made available to independent outdoor media, enabling objective benchmarking of tent quality across brands.

With numerous patents and innovative, IP-protected designs, Oase Outdoors continues to lead the way in creating functional, forward-thinking camping and outdoor equipment that makes life in nature easy, enjoyable and inspiring.

The history of Oase Outdoors

… is a true family story rooted in passion and a belief in the value of spending time outdoors - a story that began in 1984. Mogens Arens founded the company with a clear philosophy: to make high-quality camping products accessible to more people. His instinct proved right. He understood the needs and aspirations of campers, and the company grew steadily as more people discovered the enjoyment of life outdoors.

In 1993, the next generation stepped into the story when Mogens’ son, Henrik Arens, joined the company. With Henrik came a renewed drive for innovation, and the foundations of what would later become Oase Outdoors’ three distinct brands began to take shape. Among the very first employees were also Mogens’ wife and two of Henrik’s siblings, reflecting of the family culture that still characterises Oase Outdoors today.

The major breakthrough for Oase Outdoors came in the mid-1990s, as exports began to accelerate and more colleagues joined the team. During this period, Henrik gradually assumed greater commercial responsibility, and in 2004 he was appointed CEO. It was a natural moment for a generational shift, as Henrik had helped lay the foundation for three strong brands at a time when the camping and outdoor market was gaining significant momentum.

In 2016, Oase Outdoors entered a partnership with the Scandinavian investment specialist Ratos, which today owns approximately 80% of the company. Henrik Arens remained CEO and continues to own around 20% of the business together with key members of the leadership team.
