CAMPING AND CARAVANNING CLUB LAUNCHES FIRST EVER TENT SURVEY

The Camping and Caravanning Club has launched a massive tent survey for the first time, to find out which models and brands are best in the eyes of campers.

The survey examines buyers’ attitudes to the tents they’ve bought and owned since new from January 2012, and will lead to the Club’s first Tent Owner Satisfaction Awards.

Tent campers who’ve paid for and used their tents in fair and foul weather are invited to take part in the online survey at http://bit.ly/tentownersurvey.

Whether campers bought their tent from a retailer or online, the Club hopes they’ll see the value of the survey, and take the time to let the Club and other campers know of their experiences.

By asking thousands of tent campers who’ve owned tens of thousands of different tents, the Club will gather in-depth information on which are the very best tents on the market today, and build an invaluable resource for anyone researching their next tent.

The survey runs until 18 October 2015, and the Club will publish the results at an industry awards ceremony at the start of the 2016 camping season, celebrating the best tents and brands on the market today.

The Club will publish the full survey results on its website following the awards ceremony. For anyone planning to buy their next tent, it will be essential information.

The findings will also provide in-depth information for tent manufacturers, to help them continue to improve their ranges.

Robert Louden MBE, the Club’s Director General, said: “The Camping and Caravanning Club has always welcomed tent campers, who make up a considerable portion of our membership.

“This means we’re uniquely positioned to deliver useful information and analysis about how particular types and brands of tent stand up to the test of time, based on our members’ own experiences. It will help campers buy smarter in future, and help tent manufacturers improve the quality and reliability of their products.”

The survey takes around ten minutes to complete. To take part, visit the Club’s website: http://bit.ly/tentownersurvey
